Tignanello 2017 Vintage Overview

2017 OVERVIEW

Antinori Tignanello 2017 is a richly concentrated yet finely sculpted Tuscan red, layering black cherry, plum and blackberry with notes of sweet spice, dark chocolate, tobacco and a gentle herbal lift. The warm, low-yielding vintage shows in the wine’s intensity and depth, but the tannins remain silky and precise, giving a long, composed finish that already thrills and promises more complexity with time.

About Tignanello

Tignanello is Antinori’s iconic Super Tuscan red, sourced exclusively from the limestone- and marl-rich Tignanello vineyard in the heart of Chianti Classico and blending predominantly Sangiovese with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. A pioneering wine that was among the first Sangiovese aged in barrique and made without white grapes in Chianti Classico, it typically shows ripe red and black fruit, spice, tobacco and balsamic notes wrapped in polished tannins, uniting Tuscan terroir with a modern, ageworthy style.
