The palate is medium to full in body, silky and refined, with lively fruit, well-judged new oak and gently building tannins that give a long, graceful finish. This vintage shows both the ripeness of the year and a refreshing lift from its touch of Cabernet Franc.

FAY Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars’ flagship estate wines from the historic FAY Vineyard in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District, the first Cabernet Sauvignon planting in that area and purchased by the winery in 1986. Typically crafted as (nearly) 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in 100% new French oak, it is known for its supple red and black berry fruit, floral perfume, and silky, fine-grained tannins that showcase the vineyard’s elegance in contrast to the more powerful S.L.V. bottling.
