From the historic Fay Vineyard, the 2019 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon layers ripe blueberry and black cherry fruit with notes of dark spice, dried herbs and a subtle earthy savor. The palate is full and poised, with a plush core of fruit, vibrant energy through the mid-palate, and fine, building tannins that promise long-term refinement in bottle. Profound yet composed, it captures both the elegance and power that define top Stags Leap District Cabernet in a great vintage.

FAY Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars’ flagship estate wines from the historic FAY Vineyard in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District, the first Cabernet Sauvignon planting in that area and purchased by the winery in 1986. Typically crafted as (nearly) 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in 100% new French oak, it is known for its supple red and black berry fruit, floral perfume, and silky, fine-grained tannins that showcase the vineyard’s elegance in contrast to the more powerful S.L.V. bottling.
