2020 Pro Rating
From the first glass, Chateau Lafleur 2020 feels like coiled power: dark, ripe red and black fruits layered with violets, cocoa, and a stony, tobacco-tinged depth, all wrapped in fine but commanding tannins. The richness of Merlot makes the mid-palate plush and sensual, while the Cabernet Franc spine keeps everything taut, focused, and incredibly long on the finish. This is a majestic, tightly wound Pomerol that will gain huge complexity with time in bottle.

Château Lafleur by Château Lafleur is one of Pomerol’s most coveted and rare reds, a tiny 4–4.5 ha “boutique” grand vin planted in an unusually equal mix of Merlot and Cabernet Franc (Bouchet) on a complex mosaic of clay- and gravel-based soils opposite Château Pétrus. This distinctive cépage and low-yield, rigorously traditional viticulture yield a powerful yet refined wine of great minerality, floral lift, and longevity, often described as among Bordeaux’s most individualistic and ageworthy wines.
