Chateau Beychevelle 2024 Vintage Overview

2024 OVERVIEW

In 2024, Chateau Beychevelle leans into a poised, vividly fruited style, layering blackberry, cassis and blue fruits with violets, graphite and a touch of spice over a sleek, medium-bodied frame. The wine’s fresh, lively acidity and fine yet insistent tannins bring precision and tension, while a silky core of fruit and a long, resonant finish keep it firmly in the realm of refined, classical Saint-Julien. This is a finely tuned, quietly powerful Beychevelle that should gain in depth and polish with time in bottle.

About Chateau Beychevelle

Château Beychevelle is the estate’s grand vin, a Cabernet Sauvignon–led Saint-Julien 1855 Fourth Growth that uniquely incorporates an unusually high proportion of Merlot for the Left Bank, giving it a particularly silky texture and aromatic richness. Sourced from deep Garonne gravel terraces overlooking the Gironde estuary, it is classically aged in predominantly new French oak and is known for its poised balance of power and finesse, with black-fruit, spice and subtle cedar notes that evolve beautifully with a decade or more in bottle.
