Generous layers of cassis, ripe blackberry and plum define this 2018 Chateau Beychevelle, wrapped in polished tannins and scented with violets, cedar and a touch of tobacco. About Chateau Beychevelle

Château Beychevelle is the estate’s grand vin, a Cabernet Sauvignon–led Saint-Julien 1855 Fourth Growth that uniquely incorporates an unusually high proportion of Merlot for the Left Bank, giving it a particularly silky texture and aromatic richness. Sourced from deep Garonne gravel terraces overlooking the Gironde estuary, it is classically aged in predominantly new French oak and is known for its poised balance of power and finesse, with black-fruit, spice and subtle cedar notes that evolve beautifully with a decade or more in bottle.
