Chateau Beychevelle 2020 is a poised, seductive Saint-Julien, combining pure cassis and ripe black cherry fruit with hints of dark chocolate, cedar, spice and graphite. The palate is sleek yet powerful, with generous, juicy depth wrapped in fine, confident tannins and a long, fresh finish scented with subtle florals and liquorice-like spice.
Roast rack of lamb with rosemary; Dry-aged ribeye with peppercorn sauce; Duck breast with a red wine reduction
Château Beychevelle is the estate’s grand vin, a Cabernet Sauvignon–led Saint-Julien 1855 Fourth Growth that uniquely incorporates an unusually high proportion of Merlot for the Left Bank, giving it a particularly silky texture and aromatic richness. Sourced from deep Garonne gravel terraces overlooking the Gironde estuary, it is classically aged in predominantly new French oak and is known for its poised balance of power and finesse, with black-fruit, spice and subtle cedar notes that evolve beautifully with a decade or more in bottle.
