Harlan Estate 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Harlan Estate 2020 shows a poised, almost weightless intensity, layering cassis and black cherry with hints of wild herbs, cedar, cacao and graphite. The palate is concentrated yet strikingly cool and refined, driven by vivid acidity, ultra-fine tannins and a long, seamless finish that emphasizes freshness over sheer power. A thoughtful, precision-cut expression of Harlan that reflects its earlier harvest and focus on clarity of structure in this challenging year.

About Harlan Estate

Harlan Estate is the eponymous flagship Bordeaux-style red from Harlan Estate in the western hills of Oakville, Napa Valley, a Cabernet Sauvignon–based blend drawn from low-yielding vines on steep volcanic and sedimentary soils between roughly 225 and 1,225 feet of elevation. Produced in tiny quantities (around 2,000 cases) and long celebrated for its power, longevity, and complex dark-fruit, floral, and savory notes, it is widely regarded as one of California’s benchmark “cult” wines and a modern First Growth analogue.
