Harlan Estate 2015 Vintage Overview

2015 OVERVIEW

Intensity defines the 2015 Harlan Estate, with a deep core of blackcurrant and plum layered by dark chocolate, espresso, sweet tobacco and a hint of forest floor, all wrapped in a powerful yet silk-textured frame. The tannins are polished but still commanding, giving this acclaimed vintage a sense of coiled energy that promises even greater complexity with time. The finish is long, savory and persistent, leaving echoes of spice and dark fruit long after each sip.

About Harlan Estate

Harlan Estate is the eponymous flagship Bordeaux-style red from Harlan Estate in the western hills of Oakville, Napa Valley, a Cabernet Sauvignon–based blend drawn from low-yielding vines on steep volcanic and sedimentary soils between roughly 225 and 1,225 feet of elevation. Produced in tiny quantities (around 2,000 cases) and long celebrated for its power, longevity, and complex dark-fruit, floral, and savory notes, it is widely regarded as one of California’s benchmark “cult” wines and a modern First Growth analogue.
