Harlan Estate 2009 Vintage Overview

2009 OVERVIEW

Sleek power defines the 2009 Harlan Estate, with a core of dark plum, blackcurrant and roasted berry fruit wrapped in a luxuriously smooth, almost Pomerol-like texture. Notes of warm spice, graphite and gentle smoke add depth as the wine builds in intensity, finishing long, dense and structured yet remarkably polished for such a concentrated Napa Cabernet blend. This vintage shows a particularly seductive, racy character that makes it both impressive and immediately captivating.

About Harlan Estate

Harlan Estate is the eponymous flagship Bordeaux-style red from Harlan Estate in the western hills of Oakville, Napa Valley, a Cabernet Sauvignon–based blend drawn from low-yielding vines on steep volcanic and sedimentary soils between roughly 225 and 1,225 feet of elevation. Produced in tiny quantities (around 2,000 cases) and long celebrated for its power, longevity, and complex dark-fruit, floral, and savory notes, it is widely regarded as one of California’s benchmark “cult” wines and a modern First Growth analogue.
