Barolo Mosconi 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

E. Pira & Figli Barolo Mosconi 2021 is a tightly etched, mineral-driven Barolo that layers pure red cherry and strawberry fruit with rose petal, blue flowers, cedar and grilled herbs over a core of iron, stone and subtle tar. Medium to full in body yet remarkably poised, it shows chalky, finely packed tannins and vibrant acidity that carry a long, savory, mouthwatering finish. A serious, contemplative Mosconi that marries depth and power with transparency and finesse.

About Barolo Mosconi

Barolo Mosconi by E. Pira & Figli (Chiara Boschis) is a single‑cru, organically farmed Nebbiolo from the historic Mosconi vineyard in Monforte d’Alba, a high, south‑facing site around 370 meters that naturally yields powerful, long‑lived Barolo. Typically aged about two years in lightly toasted French oak and then in bottle, it marries the dark, brooding structure and firm tannins typical of Mosconi with Boschis’ polished, aromatic style, giving wines that show both intensity and notable finesse.
