Barolo Mosconi 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

E. Pira & Figli Barolo Mosconi 2020 unfurls with intense black and red cherry layered over hibiscus, rose, anise and crushed stone, framed by subtle licorice and savory marine and herb tones. The palate is full-bodied yet taut, with chalky, authoritative tannins carrying vibrant, sweet-salty fruit and mineral grip into a long, powerful finish. A vibrant, deeply structured Monforte Barolo that marries ripeness with striking transparency and energy.

About Barolo Mosconi

Barolo Mosconi by E. Pira & Figli (Chiara Boschis) is a single‑cru, organically farmed Nebbiolo from the historic Mosconi vineyard in Monforte d’Alba, a high, south‑facing site around 370 meters that naturally yields powerful, long‑lived Barolo. Typically aged about two years in lightly toasted French oak and then in bottle, it marries the dark, brooding structure and firm tannins typical of Mosconi with Boschis’ polished, aromatic style, giving wines that show both intensity and notable finesse.
