Echo de Lynch Bages 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Ripe Pauillac fruit comes across in Echo de Lynch-Bages 2019 as glossy blackcurrant and plum layered with gentle floral notes, tobacco leaf and warm stones, giving a wine that feels both generous and firmly grounded. Medium-bodied with polished tannins and well-woven acidity, it shows the estate’s trademark power in a friendlier, earlier-drinking frame, finishing long, savory and quietly authoritative.

About Echo de Lynch Bages

Echo de Lynch-Bages is the second wine of Pauillac fifth growth Château Lynch-Bages, produced mainly from the estate’s younger vines on the gravelly Bages plateau overlooking the Gironde. Created in 1976 (long known as Château Haut-Bages Averous and renamed Echo de Lynch-Bages from 2008), it offers a more approachable, supple and early-drinking expression of the Lynch-Bages style, typically blending Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot (and sometimes Cabernet Franc) to give silky tannins, fresh red and black fruit, and good aging potential.
