Château Lynch-Bages is one of Pauillac’s most celebrated Fifth Growth estates, widely regarded as punching above its formal 1855 classification. The property traces its origins to 1749, when Thomas Lynch, from an Irish merchant family, inherited vineyards in the hamlet of Bages on Pauillac’s gravel plateau and gave the estate its name.
