Les Perrieres de Lafleur 2023 Vintage Overview

2023 OVERVIEW

Cool, vivid Cabernet Franc character defines 2023 Chateau Lafleur Les Perrieres de Lafleur, with a cascade of dark and red berries, violet and spice riding on a spine of stony, saline freshness. The palate feels sleek yet deep, tannins are ultra-fine and chalk-dusted, and the finish is long, mouthwatering and beautifully precise, making this unusually pure 100% Bouchet edition both intellectually engaging and immediately charming.

About Les Perrieres de Lafleur

Les Perrières de Lafleur is a distinct cuvée from the Guinaudeau family of Château Lafleur—born from massale selections of Lafleur’s own vines planted on the shallow, fossil-rich limestone plateau near Fronsac. Typically an almost equal Merlot–Bouchet (Cabernet Franc) blend, it shows chalky minerality, precise, fine tannins and floral-blueberry notes that speak more of limestone terroir than Pomerol richness; first released after experimental ‘Acte’ vintages and vinified with the same meticulous standards as Lafleur.
