Intensity and finesse define the 2021 Les Perrières de Lafleur, which layers dark cherry, cassis and ripe plum with violet, rose and sweet spice over a vivid core of limestone-driven minerality. Medium to full in body yet finely etched, it shows precise acidity, ultra-silky but firm tannins and a long, salty, tobacco-tinged finish that feels both sculpted and powerful. This is a contemplative, deeply focused expression of Merlot and Cabernet Franc from pure limestone soils, with real depth beneath its current restraint.
Roast lamb with rosemary and garlic; Seared duck breast with cherry jus; Mushroom and truffle risotto

Les Perrières de Lafleur is a distinct cuvée from the Guinaudeau family of Château Lafleur—born from massale selections of Lafleur’s own vines planted on the shallow, fossil-rich limestone plateau near Fronsac. Typically an almost equal Merlot–Bouchet (Cabernet Franc) blend, it shows chalky minerality, precise, fine tannins and floral-blueberry notes that speak more of limestone terroir than Pomerol richness; first released after experimental ‘Acte’ vintages and vinified with the same meticulous standards as Lafleur.
