Chateau d'Issan 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry pour from the glass in Chateau d'Issan 2022, layered with cedar, cocoa, floral spice and a subtle mineral snap. The palate is vivid and concentrated yet poised, with juicy acidity and fine, chalky tannins giving a long, tight finish that signals real class and the potential for long-term development. This is a particularly intense and focused edition of d’Issan, combining serious structure with a sense of energy and lift.

About Chateau d'Issan

Château d’Issan is the historic grand vin of this Third Growth Margaux estate, drawn from the old vines within the walled “enclos” on deep gravel over clay that yields particularly elegant, long-lived Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot blends. Typically aged 16–18 months in about 50% new French oak, it is known for its supple, refined tannins, floral Margaux perfume, and a balance of ripeness and freshness that allows it to age gracefully for decades.
