Château d’Issan is a historic Margaux estate whose origins trace back to a 12th‑century fortress in the seigneury of La Mothe‑Cantenac. Rebuilt in the 17th century by the Essenault family (who gave the property its name), the moated, storybook château is encircled by a stone wall dating from 1644.
