Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay 2023 Vintage Overview

2023 OVERVIEW

Golden fruit, citrus zest and white blossom pour from the glass, layered with subtle toast and a struck-stone edge that keeps everything vivid and alive. Ramey Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay 2023 feels both generous and finely etched, coating the palate with ripe pear, baked apple and honeyed spice while a line of electric acidity stretches the finish long and bright. A memorable final vintage that delivers depth, perfume and precision in equal measure.

About Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay

Ramey’s Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay is a terroir-driven Russian River Valley wine made from old (1972) Old Wente and a few Musqué vines on sandy Goldridge bench soils that many critics call a “California Grand Cru.” Whole-cluster pressing, native yeast fermentation and full malolactic aging in French oak (roughly 20 months with ~20% new) yield a silky, mineral-driven Chardonnay with orchard and stone-fruit layers, subtle spice and the texture and acidity for long-term aging.
