2022 Pro Rating
Ramey Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay 2022 shows intense yet poised richness, with layers of ripe peach, apricot and pear over citrus peel, ginger and subtle oak spice. The texture is broad and creamy but kept vivid by bright acidity and a long, mineral-tinged finish that hints at floral notes and baking spice. Powerful now, it promises even greater complexity with time in bottle.
Roast chicken with wild mushrooms; seared scallops with brown butter; miso-marinated black cod

Ramey’s Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay is a terroir-driven Russian River Valley wine made from old (1972) Old Wente and a few Musqué vines on sandy Goldridge bench soils that many critics call a “California Grand Cru.” Whole-cluster pressing, native yeast fermentation and full malolactic aging in French oak (roughly 20 months with ~20% new) yield a silky, mineral-driven Chardonnay with orchard and stone-fruit layers, subtle spice and the texture and acidity for long-term aging.
