2021 Pro Rating
Ramey’s 2021 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay is concentrated yet incredibly precise, layering ripe citrus and stone fruit with a cool, gravelly edge and subtle baking spice from well-judged oak. The palate feels both glossy and taut, driven by energetic acidity that lengthens the finish and hints at even greater complexity to come with time in bottle.
Roast chicken with thyme and lemon; Seared scallops with brown butter; Mushroom risotto

Ramey’s Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay is a terroir-driven Russian River Valley wine made from old (1972) Old Wente and a few Musqué vines on sandy Goldridge bench soils that many critics call a “California Grand Cru.” Whole-cluster pressing, native yeast fermentation and full malolactic aging in French oak (roughly 20 months with ~20% new) yield a silky, mineral-driven Chardonnay with orchard and stone-fruit layers, subtle spice and the texture and acidity for long-term aging.
