Berardenga Chianti Classico Riserva 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

A refined yet powerful Chianti Classico Riserva, this 2020 opens with dark cherry and plum layered over wild herbs, earth, and warm spice. The palate is medium-bodied but concentrated, with juicy fruit framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and a vibrant line of Sangiovese acidity that carries notes of tobacco and mineral through a long, savory finish. It shows impressive balance now but clearly has the structure to gain further complexity in bottle.

A selection of the estate’s best parcels, it is traditionally vinified and aged 12–16 months in Slavonian casks and used French barriques, typically showing ruby color, dark cherry and wild berry fruit, floral and mineral tones, and firm but supple tannins that give it notab…
