The 2019 Pianrosso is a powerful yet polished Brunello, layering vibrant Morello cherry and raspberry with blood orange, dried flowers, cedar, mint and hints of tar, iron and cacao. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated but impeccably balanced, its ripe red and black fruits wrapped in fine-grained, youthful tannins and lively acidity that drive a long, savory-spiced finish. This is a serious, structured Pianrosso that will gain in nuance and silkiness with time in bottle.
Bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised lamb shank with rosemary, pappardelle al cinghiale, aged Pecorino Toscano, porcini mushroom risotto

Brunello di Montalcino Pianrosso by Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona is a single-vineyard Sangiovese from the estate’s flagship Pianrosso cru, planted on iron-rich marly soils between roughly 240–360 meters near the Orcia river in southern Montalcino. Typically powerful yet polished, it combines ripe dark cherry and plum with floral, herbal and ferrous-mineral notes, structured by velvety tannins and lively acidity that give it notable aging capacity and make it one of the most emblematic Brunelli of the estate.
