Chateau Quintus 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Depth and plush power define the 2020 Château Quintus, with concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe plum layered over notes of dark chocolate, licorice and subtle spice. The palate is broad and velvety yet well-defined, its plentiful tannins finely textured and carried by fresh acidity, giving this rich, high-alcohol vintage impressive poise and length. A modern, opulent Saint-Émilion that still feels carefully judged rather than overdone.

About Chateau Quintus

Château Quintus is the grand vin of Domaine Clarence Dillon’s Saint-Émilion estate, a Merlot- and Cabernet Franc–based Bordeaux red grown on a high limestone promontory with a patchwork of slopes and microclimates that lend both richness and freshness. Crafted as a modern Right Bank “fifth child” in the Clarence Dillon family, it typically offers deep, ripe black-fruit character wrapped in supple tannins and an undercurrent of chalky, limestone-driven minerality that reflects its commanding terroir above the Dordogne valley.
