Chateau Pavie 2024 Vintage Overview

2024 OVERVIEW

In this cooler 2024 vintage, Chateau Pavie shows its power through refinement rather than sheer weight, offering a compact core of blue and black fruits layered with cassis, raspberries, gentle spice and a graphite-tinged, stony edge. Medium-bodied but concentrated, it glides on fine, tightly woven tannins and finishes long, racy and pure, clearly Pavie in depth yet slimmer, fresher and more vertical than many recent years. This is a focused, ageworthy Pavie that will reward patience more than immediate gratification.

About Chateau Pavie

Château Pavie is the powerful, flagship Grand Vin of this Premier Grand Cru Classé A estate in Saint-Émilion, crafted from a single, south-facing clay-limestone hillside that yields notably structured, ageworthy wines. Typically Merlot-dominant with significant Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, it is known for its intense dark fruit, concentration and mineral-inflected richness, which in recent years have been increasingly balanced by a more polished, elegant style under Gérard Perse’s stewardship.
