Chateau Grand Village 2024 Vintage Overview

2024 OVERVIEW

Bright red fruit and flowers lead the 2024 Chateau Grand Village, a finely etched, medium-bodied Bordeaux that feels energetic rather than heavy. Crunchy cherries, redcurrant and a hint of apple skin glide across the palate, with a stony, mineral edge and lightly firm tannins giving shape to the juicy core. It’s a graceful, refreshing expression of Merlot and Cabernet Franc that emphasizes purity and drinkability over power.

About Chateau Grand Village

Château Grand Village is the Guinaudeau family’s right‑bank Bordeaux project (the family behind Pomerol’s Château Lafleur) producing elegant, terroir‑driven Bordeaux Supérieur reds and a distinctive white from Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon on shallow clay‑over‑limestone soils. Made with hand‑harvested fruit, careful sorting and oak ageing (a portion in new French barrels), the red typically shows plush Merlot/Cabernet‑Franc fruit, mineral lift and refined tannins—a classically styled, high‑value expression of Fronsac/Mouillac terroir.
