Chateau Grand Village 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Dark, concentrated fruit and a subtle salty snap shape this 2022 Chateau Grand Village, layering ripe blackberries and blue plum with cocoa, licorice, graphite and gentle spice. Medium to full-bodied, it glides on velvety yet structured tannins, with a cool, mineral edge and fresh finish that signal both precision and impressive ageing potential for the estate.

About Chateau Grand Village

Château Grand Village is the Guinaudeau family’s right‑bank Bordeaux project (the family behind Pomerol’s Château Lafleur) producing elegant, terroir‑driven Bordeaux Supérieur reds and a distinctive white from Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon on shallow clay‑over‑limestone soils. Made with hand‑harvested fruit, careful sorting and oak ageing (a portion in new French barrels), the red typically shows plush Merlot/Cabernet‑Franc fruit, mineral lift and refined tannins—a classically styled, high‑value expression of Fronsac/Mouillac terroir.
