CARO 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Bodegas Caro CARO 2022 layers dark plum, blackberry and blueberry fruit with hints of cocoa, dried herbs and subtle cedar, all wrapped in a polished, full-bodied frame. The tannins are abundant yet velvety, giving structure and tension to the ripe fruit and leading to a long, poised finish that shows both Uco Valley purity and classic elegance.

About CARO

CARO is the flagship Bordeaux-style blend from Bodegas CARO — a partnership between the Catena family and Domaines Barons de Rothschild — that marries Argentine Malbec with Cabernet Sauvignon grown at high-altitude sites in Mendoza’s Uco Valley. Typically aged about 18 months in French oak (much of it from the DBR/Lafite cooperage), it’s marked by concentrated dark-fruit and floral notes, lifted alpine acidity, firm yet polished tannins and a structure built for ageing rather than immediate hedonism.
