About CARO

CARO is the flagship Bordeaux-style blend from Bodegas CARO — a partnership between the Catena family and Domaines Barons de Rothschild — that marries Argentine Malbec with Cabernet Sauvignon grown at high-altitude sites in Mendoza’s Uco Valley. Typically aged about 18 months in French oak (much of it from the DBR/Lafite cooperage), it’s marked by concentrated dark-fruit and floral notes, lifted alpine acidity, firm yet polished tannins and a structure built for ageing rather than immediate hedonism.
