About Vosne-Romanee Aux Malconsorts Premier Cru

Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts Premier Cru from Sylvain (now Sébastien) Cathiard is one of the domaine’s flagship wines, from a small 0.7–0.75 ha parcel of 1970s Pinot Noir vines on deep red clay, immediately adjacent to La Tâche. Typically powerful yet weightless, it marries dark cherry and berry fruit, floral and exotic spice notes, and a pronounced mineral-saline line with fine but serious tannic structure, giving a wine often described as grand cru in all but name and built for long aging.
