Ten Pinot Noir 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Ripe, dark-toned strawberries and black plum gush from the glass of Sea Smoke Ten Pinot Noir 2022, edged by warm baking spice, a touch of cocoa and a faint mineral snap. The palate is plush and concentrated yet surprisingly racy, with waves of juicy red and black fruits wrapped in vanilla and Christmas‑spice richness, finishing long, savory and intensely flavorful. This is a bold, polished expression of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot that still holds its balance and energy beautifully.

About Ten Pinot Noir

Sea Smoke’s Ten Pinot Noir is the estate’s darkest, most powerful expression of Pinot, a brooding, intensely structured wine drawn from all ten low‑vigor Pinot Noir clones planted on their biodynamically farmed Sea Smoke Estate Vineyard in the cool Sta. Rita Hills. Characterized by ripe black and blue fruit, exotic spice, floral and herbal notes and wrapped in firm, ageworthy tannins and lavish French oak, it often appeals to Cabernet drinkers while still reflecting its fog-cooled Pacific terroir in its freshness and length.
