Ten Pinot Noir 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

Dark, plush fruit rushes from the glass in the 2021 Sea Smoke Ten Pinot Noir, with ripe black cherry and boysenberry wrapped in notes of violet, black tea and gently toasty oak. On the palate it feels powerful yet composed, dense in flavor but finely etched, with bright acidity and firm, polished tannins keeping all that concentration in a precise, long finish. This is a more muscular, structured expression of Sea Smoke Pinot, built for those who like depth and drama without sacrificing elegance.

About Ten Pinot Noir

Sea Smoke’s Ten Pinot Noir is the estate’s darkest, most powerful expression of Pinot, a brooding, intensely structured wine drawn from all ten low‑vigor Pinot Noir clones planted on their biodynamically farmed Sea Smoke Estate Vineyard in the cool Sta. Rita Hills. Characterized by ripe black and blue fruit, exotic spice, floral and herbal notes and wrapped in firm, ageworthy tannins and lavish French oak, it often appeals to Cabernet drinkers while still reflecting its fog-cooled Pacific terroir in its freshness and length.
