2014 Pro Rating
Power builds in the glass as Penfolds Grange 2014 layers dense blackberry and plum compote with hints of cherry liqueur, baking spices, mint and dark roast coffee. The palate is massive yet polished, packed with sweet, concentrated black fruit, cocoa and vanilla from the new American oak, driven by firm, youthfully muscular tannins and a long, warming finish that feels both hedonistic and tightly controlled. This is a monumental, deeply structured Grange from a challenging year, selected ruthlessly in the cellar and clearly built for a very long life.
Dry-aged ribeye with peppercorn sauce; Slow-braised lamb shanks with rosemary and garlic; Charcoal-grilled wagyu short ribs
