About Rioja Reserva

Marqués de Murrieta’s Rioja Reserva is the estate’s flagship red, a classic yet polished blend led by Tempranillo with Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha, sourced almost entirely from the calcareous-clay soils of the high-altitude Ygay Estate in Rioja Alta. Traditionally aged for around two years in (mostly) American oak and further in bottle, it expresses dark cherry and red fruit wrapped in vanilla, spice and balsamic notes, offering an elegant, structured style that bridges old-school Rioja character with a more precise, modern finesse.
