Marqués de Murrieta is one of Rioja’s foundational estates and a benchmark for Spanish fine wine. Founded in 1852 by Don Luciano de Murrieta, who applied Bordeaux-inspired techniques to Rioja, it was among the first in the region to make ageworthy wines and to export them internationally.
