Ermitage Le Pavillon 2015 Vintage Overview

2015 OVERVIEW

Depth and power define the 2015 M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Pavillon, a profoundly concentrated Syrah pulsing with blackcurrant and crème de cassis layered over graphite, smoke, and a ferrous, granitic core. The palate is full-bodied, tightly coiled and massively structured, with intense fruit wrapped in muscular tannins that promise a long, graceful evolution. This is a monumental, mineral-driven Hermitage that will reward patience with extraordinary complexity and length.

About Ermitage Le Pavillon

Ermitage Le Pavillon by M. Chapoutier is a legendary, single‑parcel Syrah from ancient (around 90–100‑year‑old) biodynamically farmed vines on the granite slopes of the Les Bessards lieu‑dit on Hermitage Hill, in France’s northern Rhône. Typically massively concentrated yet finely balanced, it shows deep garnet color and layered notes of dark berries, smoke, licorice, tobacco, cocoa and mineral tones, built for extremely long aging that can stretch for many decades.
