About Vosne-Romanee Vigneux

Vosne‑Romanee “Vigneux” from Domaine Jean Tardy is a village‑level Pinot Noir made from a small Vigneux parcel on gravel‑clay‑limestone soils (roughly 0.3–0.34 ha, vines from the mid‑1980s) that yields a precise, Vosne‑like wine: bright red cherry and crushed strawberry layers over floral and spice notes. Vinified with mostly destemming and gentle extraction, then aged ~14–16 months in French oak (a minority new), it shows silky texture, fine tannins and a hint of black pepper/tobacco that gives structure and aging potential.
