Bricco Delle Viole Barolo 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

In 2021, G.D. Vajra’s Bricco delle Viole Barolo channels its high, late-ripening vineyard into a poised, deeply etched wine packed with dark cherry, raspberry liqueur and orange peel, layered with dried flowers, sweet spice, leather and a stony, mineral edge. The palate is incisive yet graceful, with polished, finely grained tannins and bright, linear acidity giving length, tension and a sense of quiet power that promises a very long evolution. This is a particularly serious, long-lived Bricco delle Viole, combining purity and detail with real stature.

About Bricco Delle Viole Barolo

Bricco delle Viole Barolo by G.D. Vajra is a single‑cru, 100% Nebbiolo wine from one of the highest vineyards in the Barolo commune (around 400–480 m), on cool, fossil‑rich Sant’Agata marl that gives great aromatic lift and long, slow ripening. Known as Vajra’s most elegant and “Chambolle‑like” Barolo, it typically shows a perfumed, violet‑ and rose‑scented nose, red and dark cherry fruit, fine mineral tension and refined tannins, built for graceful, long-term aging.
