Brunello di Montalcino 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Dark cherry and raspberry pulse at the core of Fuligni’s 2020 Brunello di Montalcino, layered with smoky woodland notes, warm spice, cedar and a touch of licorice. The palate is powerful yet composed, with sweet-savoury red fruit concentration framed by chalky, gripping but polished tannins and brisk acidity that drives a long, tangy finish. A structured, characterful Brunello that captures the richness of the vintage without losing freshness or elegance.

About Brunello di Montalcino

Fuligni’s Brunello di Montalcino is a pure Sangiovese of haunting elegance, drawn from high-altitude, east-facing vineyards on Montalcino’s rocky northeastern slopes. Aged predominantly in large Slavonian oak to preserve freshness and terroir, it weaves ripe red-cherry and strawberry fruit with notes of tobacco, spice, cedar and dried flowers, carried by finely etched tannins and vibrant acidity. Long-lived yet already seductive in many vintages, it sits in a refined middle ground between classic austerity and modern polish.
