Brunello di Montalcino 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Scents of red cherry, rose, sweet spices and tobacco draw you into the 2019 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino, which glides across the palate with silky precision before firm, finely etched tannins take hold. The vintage’s combination of concentration and lift shows in the vivid red and black berry core, streaks of orange peel and mint, and a long, energetic finish dusted with cocoa and spice. This is a poised, classic Brunello with both immediate charm and serious aging potential.

About Brunello di Montalcino

Fuligni’s Brunello di Montalcino is a pure Sangiovese of haunting elegance, drawn from high-altitude, east-facing vineyards on Montalcino’s rocky northeastern slopes. Aged predominantly in large Slavonian oak to preserve freshness and terroir, it weaves ripe red-cherry and strawberry fruit with notes of tobacco, spice, cedar and dried flowers, carried by finely etched tannins and vibrant acidity. Long-lived yet already seductive in many vintages, it sits in a refined middle ground between classic austerity and modern polish.
