About Saffredi

Saffredi is the flagship Bordeaux-style Supertuscan of Fattoria Le Pupille, a Cabernet Sauvignon–led blend (with Merlot and Petit Verdot) from a single high-altitude vineyard in the coastal Maremma zone of southern Tuscany. Created in 1987 by owner Elisabetta Geppetti with legendary enologist Giacomo Tachis and dedicated to her mentor Fredi, it is known for its dense structure, dark fruit and Mediterranean herb complexity, and for helping define Maremma as a fine-wine terroir on par with the great Tuscan coastal reds.
