Emidio Pepe’s Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is an iconic, biodynamically farmed single-varietal Montepulciano from old vines around Torano Nuovo in northern Abruzzo, fermented and aged exclusively in cement and released only after extended bottle aging. Powerful yet refined, it is known for deep dark fruit, licorice, wild herb and tobacco notes wrapped in firm but fine tannins, and for its remarkable longevity, often being hand-decanted and re-corked at the estate decades after harvest.
