Elio Grasso’s Barolo Gavarini Vigna Chiniera is a single‑vineyard Nebbiolo from the Gavarini amphitheatre in Monforte d’Alba, grown on relatively sandy, limestone‑rich soils at mid‑to‑high elevations and fermented in stainless steel before ageing in large Slavonian oak casks. The wine is typically the more floral, elegant and finely textured of Grasso’s Barolos—perfumed with red cherry, rose and spice notes, marked by bright acidity and fine, grippy tannins, and built for medium‑to‑long ageing.
