Extra Brut Grand Cru Millesime 2008 Vintage Overview

2008 OVERVIEW

Intensity defines Egly-Ouriet Extra Brut Grand Cru Millésime 2008, with a soaring nose of red apple, citrus oil and warm pastry leading into a palate that feels both chiselled and deep, packed with apricot, almond and a chalky, resonant backbone. The texture is powerful yet aerated, driven by vibrant acidity and immense concentration, and the finish seems to glow on the palate long after each sip. This is a reference-point 2008 Champagne, still coiled but already profoundly expressive and destined for long, graceful evolution.

About  Extra Brut Grand Cru Millesime

Egly-Ouriet’s Extra Brut Grand Cru Millésime is a deeply vinous, long-aged Champagne crafted primarily from old-vine Pinot Noir with Chardonnay, drawn exclusively from Ambonnay and select Grand Cru sites on the Montagne de Reims. Fermented and raised in barrel with indigenous yeasts, given 6–8 years of lees aging, and finished at a very low dosage, it offers a powerful yet precise expression of chalky Grand Cru terroir, combining intense structure with remarkable finesse and longevity.
