Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers Premier Cru 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

Supple red fruits lead in this 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers Premier Cru, with vivid cherry, wild strawberry and a touch of plum layered over hints of blood orange, rose petal and fine oak spice. The palate is sleek yet concentrated, with taut acidity, refined tannins and a long, stony finish that keeps the citrus-tinged red fruit humming. A particularly pure, focused expression of Sentiers in a cooler, delicate vintage.

About Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers Premier Cru

Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers Premier Cru from Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils is a concentrated yet finely etched Pinot Noir from 80-year-old vines on iron-rich clay-limestone soils just beneath Bonnes-Mares, at the northern edge of Chambolle-Musigny. Typically denser and more structured than many Chambolle Premiers Crus, it marries dark cherry and berry fruit with a distinctly saline, mineral thread and firm, fine-grained tannins that reward cellaring.
