Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Monts Luisants Premier Cru Blanc 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Ripe citrus, green apple and subtle baking notes shape the 2020 Domaine Ponsot Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Monts Luisants Premier Cru Blanc, which shows surprising depth and texture for old-vine Aligoté. The palate is concentrated yet finely cut, driven by stony minerality and a firm, dry finish that promises more nuance with cellaring.

About Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Monts Luisants Premier Cru Blanc

Domaine Ponsot’s Morey‑Saint‑Denis Clos des Monts Luisants Premier Cru Blanc is a rare Côte de Nuits white monopole made from 100% old‑vine Aligoté (most vines planted in 1911), producing very small volumes. Sited on shallow, limestone‑rich grèzes over oolitic and Dijon‑Corton calcareous soils, it’s winemaking‑led with whole‑cluster pressing and élevage in seasoned French oak to yield a mineral, nervy, ageworthy white with fine texture and chalky salinity.
