Bourgogne Blanc 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Energy runs through this 2020 Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc, where taut citrus and green apple fruit meet hints of nectarine, white blossom and fresh dough, all wrapped in a silky, compact frame. The palate feels tightly coiled yet already graceful, driven by a bright line of acidity and a subtle saline, spicy twist that keeps the finish long, clean and quietly serious for a humble Bourgogne.

About Bourgogne Blanc

Domaine Leflaive’s Bourgogne Blanc is a Chardonnay-based white Burgundy sourced mainly from biodynamically farmed, limestone-clay parcels around Puligny-Montrachet, notably Les Houlières and Les Parties. Though labeled simply as Bourgogne Blanc, it is vinified and aged much like the estate’s village wines, often offering a Puligny-like tension and minerality wrapped in ripe citrus and orchard fruit, making it one of the benchmark “entry-level” whites of the Côte de Beaune.
