Savigny-les-Beaune Les Lavieres Premier Cru 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Silky yet energetic, the 2020 Domaine Chandon de Briailles Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières glows with vibrant raspberry and dark berry fruit, laced with orange zest, spice and a lift of cool florals. The palate is medium-bodied but generous, with fine, powdery tannins, a stony undertow and a subtly spicy finish that feels both refined and persistent. A beautifully composed, aromatic 2020 that balances sensual texture with real freshness and structure for aging.

About Savigny-les-Beaune Les Lavieres Premier Cru

Domaine Chandon de Briailles’ Savigny‑lès‑Beaune 1er Cru “Les Lavières” is a 100% Pinot Noir from a compact, south‑facing parcel planted on thin, stony soils (limestone slabs, sand and marl) whose old vines and biodynamic farming give a terroir‑driven wine. Vinified with indigenous yeasts and frequent whole‑cluster work and matured with little new oak, it shows a poised profile of bright red berries, violet and savory/earthy mineral notes with fine tannins and lively acidity—elegant, slightly muscular and built for medium‑term aging.
