From Cordero di Montezemolo’s famed Bricco Gattera cru, the 2021 Barolo shows impressive depth and poise, layering dark cherry and plum fruit with notes of pomegranate, violet, mint, sweet spice and warm wood tones. The palate is generous and full-bodied yet lifted by vibrant acidity, with plush but firmly structured tannins that frame a long, sapid finish. It’s a powerful, resonant expression of La Morra that already captivates, but clearly has the structure to develop beautifully in bottle.
