Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

Lifted violet and graphite aromas lead into a deep, pure core of blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry in the 2021 Colgin Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, framed by saline mineral notes and a touch of dark chocolate. The palate is powerful yet exquisitely composed, with plush but perfectly tuned tannins and a long, precise finish that lingers with both dark fruit and a subtle earthiness. A thrilling combination of intensity, freshness, and refinement that will reward patience in the cellar.

About Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is Colgin’s single‑vineyard, small‑production expression from a historic ‘jewel‑box’ site in Oakville (the Tychson Hill parcel purchased and replanted by Ann Colgin in the 1990s). Crafted from heritage Cabernet clones on roughly a two‑to‑three acre, cooler, north‑facing site, the wine is noted for its ethereal elegance and floral perfume layered over red and black fruit, with fine-grained tannins and mineral/loamy undertones that reflect the vineyard’s intimate terroir.
